The hubby and I got to try out this All-you-can-eat Japanese Restaurant in Richmond Hill last week. At first I was hesitant to drive all the way up there considering that there is also another Wasabi AYCE Jap closer to us. These two restaurants are owned by the same people but they both have different styles in serving their food. The one located in Scarborough gives you a menu where you can order what you want (like all the other AYCE Jap restaurants), while the Richmond Hill location serve their food buffet style. This review is for the Richmond Hill location.
The restaurant: This restaurant is the biggest Japanese restaurant I've seen in the GTA so far. The restaurants is divided into many different areas in different sizes so it's great for having parties, gatherings big and small, etc. They also have little booths for those who want a little privacy.
The food: Everything is buffet style! From the traditional sushi rolls, hand rolls, chicken and beef teriyaki, shrimp and vegetable tempura... name it, they have it (sashimi is only served for dinner)! They also serve dim sum and some Chinese food. You can also request to have a noodle soup made for you with whatever stuff you choose to put in it. There are also lots of seafood dishes. The dessert table isn't bad either- but nothing too fancy about it (they do have a chocolate fountain which they only turn on for dinner).
The price: It is similar (actually cheaper than some) to other AYCE Jap restaurants.
